• Visit the official DGFT website and apply for IEC by clicking on ‘Apply for New Import Export Code (IEC) or Modify existing IEC.’
• Fill in the details, ask there as per your PAN Card and click on Submit.
• Enter the contact details, the contact number and the email, then solve the captcha to generate an otp. Type in the OTP and submit
• For the generation of an E-commerce number, you now need to fill in the following details – Name of the company, address of the company, mobile number and email address as entered earlier, name on PAN card, date of Company Incorporation, nature of company such as Private Limited, Public Limited, Proprietorship, LLP, and Undertaking, and so on.
• Choose the business activity as per your business.
• The account holder’s name, Bank account number, and bank account details of the applicant must be entered.
• On the next page, you have to fill in the Branch Details of the company, that is, the Address of the Branch and choose among these designations – Director/Partner/Proprietor/Karta/Managing Trustee.
• Once all needed details are filled and submitted, upload the required documents such as Address Proof, Cancelled cheque.
• Then follows the fees paid for the registration of IEC.
